IRCTC Customer Care : Ticket Not Booked But Money Deducted?
Did you face this issue, Your money got debited (deducted) from your bank account and train ticket not booked? Mainly Transaction failures have been observed during the Tatkal timings 10 AM and 11 AM during this Tatkal time period lot of transactions being processed in a short span of time. Transaction failures might be due to following reasons mentioned below:
Money debited but ticket not booked
The online payment at IRCTC involves a complex system of technical and telecommunication networking integration between customer’s Internet bandwidth, IT system of banks and payment gateways and is dependent on internet connectivity across various constituents.
Any failure or delay in this complex network may cause transaction failure before completion. This can raise the situation of money debited from the account but ticket not booked with the following possibilities:

How to check my failure transactions status?
- Open IRCTC Official website irctc.co.in.
- Go to “My Transaction” on the top menu.
- Select 3rd Option “Failure Transaction History”
- Your Failure Transaction History with Payment status & Failure Reason will be shown.

Check your payment status and failure reason- as per the refund status represented as the above table you will get refunded as soon as possible.
*Refund of failed transactions where payment is deducted will be credited automatically in 3-4 working days.
